I just placed an order for a g110

Haha.. Thanks. I wish I had a job that I enjoyed as much as you seem to.. I also wish I was somewhere close enough to attend your classes. Maybe I can find someone local that will let me watch and learn some day.

Did my order look like a good start?

You really only need one finishing pad, your money would be better spent buying 6 polishing pads instead.

As you'll come to find out, Pad Saturation is a problem with DA Polishers.

Read what we wrote here this morning...

I was just wondering how everyone cleans their cutting (wool) and polishing (foam) pads. I've simply been using a spur or stiff bristled brush to remove dried polish from the pad after use. However, I want to eliminate the possibility for damage caused via pad contamination. I've heard so many different opinions surrounding the

              Re: New guy

Thanks guys.. oh well went overboard on finishing pads. I am only planning on doing this on my cars and perhaps the parents when they visit. I do have a few brushes, wheel cleaners, tire shine stuff etc.. What I really need to figure out is a good cleaner and protectanct for the Sienna dashboard. It is more of a rubbery consisteny than the hard plastic in a lot of cars.

I am so freaking excited to get this and have some warm weather. I do not think it is normal to be this excited about cleaning..

                You've been avatared!

I'm a sucker for black cars with silver stripes and fell in love with the photo when I saw it. I think I have a new dream car.

If you don't like it or just want a different one (not sure of what color yours was), just let me know.

Sweet... Mine was a z clone, hugger orange with white stripes.. sold it about 7 years ago when the kids were 4 and 1... Really could not justify the money I was dumping into it at the time.. I sure miss it now.

Man it sounds like you have it bad. LOL!!!! Welcome from another detail junky. Mike is right about polishing pads. They're like microfiber, you can't have to many.

When you see what you can do with a machine you will really be hooked.
Good luck and read everything you can find about using the G110.

                            to MOL.
I would suggest #40 for the dash.
Warm weather would be nice, it's 3 above here, with the wind chill = "- way too cold!"
