  • Long time lurker from Niagara On the Lake Ontario.

I've been lurking on this forum soaking up as much information as I can for quite a while. I won one of the first Meguiars Online car shows back in 2000 with my 2000 Focus ZX3 WRC Replica car. I got my G100 and a great mobile detailing kit that I still use to this day. After getting my IS300 Lexus a few years ago I quite quickly realized that I needed to learn more about waxing a car properly and using the tools that I had been given. That black paint had so many swirls in it I thought I would never get it back. I pretty much stayed with NTX for years and only just in the past few months have decided to move on to the professional level products.

Now if winter would only break I'd be able to get that first good wax for the year under my belt.

Here are a few pictures of my past cars.
88 Merkur XR4Ti ( Lives in Ottawa Ontario now.)

2001 ZR2 Sonoma (Great for pulling my toys, and this was the best I ever got it to look the result of 6 hours of waxing.)

88.5 Merkur XR4Ti (Look what $500 buys these days, sold for $5000)

1999 WRC Replica Focus (Retired to sunny Florida.)

1985 WRC Replica Sierra (Look for it racing at the Targa Newfoundland this year)

    2004 Lexus IS300

2003 Tiburon GTS V6 ( All around one of the best cars I've ever owned.)

    Well that's me.

Well it was a two owner 30,000 mile car from Ohio the kid that bought it at an estate auction didn't know anything about the car. It didn't run and the paint was flat dead. A set of the correct plugs and re timing the engine got it running a $50 piece of exhaust pipe fixed the exhaust leak. A weekends waxing brought the paint back and a really good clean brought the inside back to life. I drove it for 3 months everyday with no issues it even went around Mosport at speed for 6 laps. Sadly when winter came I had nowhere to store it and it was time for it to go.

Thanks, the truck was lots of work it was the first time I ever used my buffer and NTX wax. I've always been a fan of Onyx Black GM paint ever since I got my 2000 GrandAm GT.

I've never lost any money on a car, it's all about knowing what you buying.

I just got my Dad a 2005 Mini Cooper Soho with 12,000KM on it for $18,900. I bought my 03 Tiburon for $16,000 cash one snowy February morning in 2005 from a weak salesman who really needed to make his quota for the month. I could sell that car today for what I paid for it.

I'm after a Mini for myself after driving his for a day, just need to spend the time looking to find just the right one.
