Yep, another new guy from Kansas! Go Jayhawks!
I noticed Totoland Mach posts here - he & I have met a couple times!
Anyway - long-time reader, first-time poster as I'm taking my car cleaning to the next level - use of machinery!
I couldn't pass up the 7336 deals (sorry!), and just ordered the recommended pads, #80, etc from ADS yesterday. Yes, I've been religiously reading past posts and FAQ's, so the confidence level is high!
Also been looking really hard at a few products from the Detailer's line for underhood & tire work.
I've always kept the vehicles very nice before, but always by hand. The entire NXT line has been my weapon of choice the last few years. I have a variety of needs, and NXT products (plus a little good old #7) have been versatile enough to meet those needs. I've shown vehicles for 20+ years with pretty good success (the Saleen, a 65 Shelby clone that made the magazines, 70 Cougar), but always searching for more...
Vehicles:
2000 Saleen S281SC 'vert - my baby. Garage queen, rarely sees rain. Just trying to keep up the show car shine. Car is due for minor paint correction, but very presentable - biggest challenge is the WHITE color...
99 ZX2 - daughter's car that I only get to see a couple times a year when she's home from college. It gets a THOROUGH cleaning from me, and "just driven" by her.
It WILL be my first car to use the DA on during her spring break. It just needs PROTECTION! Graphite Blue color.
Also have a 01 ZX3 Focus and an 05 Mercury Mariner SUV. Both are daily drivers for myself & the wife. Great colors (Malibu Blue & Redfire) that look awesome when detailed. The Focus is due for some paint correction, but I like to keep both looking good and well-protected from our winter street salt.
Anyway, enough about me. We'll see what questions arise as I get into this stuff deeper!
