    Hi there

Hello from Scotland just wanted to say i was always a big fan of auto glym but done my new mini cooper yesterday with Meguiar's and this is the stuff for me from now on -what a shine!

Can i re-apply on top as i go along -i.e. and not have to remove old polish and wax?

Thanks for any replies that are forthcoming

          Hi Harry,

          Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

For the most part you can continue to wash your car or wipe it down with a quick detailer and then re-apply a polish or wax over the previously applied polish or wax.

One reason for this, if your car is a daily driver, then normal wear & tear will be continually wearing off any coating of polish or wax, thus it's perfectly fine to re-apply as this will replace whats worn off.

You want to be careful however because if your car is a daily driver the paint will get dirty at the microscopic level and periodically you will want to clean the paint to remove this dirt build up. If you simply re-apply a polish or wax, depending upon the polish or wax, you run the risk of trapping, or sealing any built-up dirt into the paint which can hide the true color of the paint over time.

What Meguiar's products are you using?
