    Need help...have a Cadillac with tan leather seats...have a black stain on seat back at belt level...took car to professional detailer...could not get the stain out..says its dye form my belt...tried all types of leather cleaners..was told thy would have to "paint it"...never heard of this...any suggestions ou there? Thanks

      sorry to hear of the stain, this is one problem i have had myself from a belt on my tan leather seats, i chose to live with mine and over time it has faded with regular cleanings and now is not noticable unless i really look for it.
      i always use gold class leather cleaner/conditioner in either foam or the lotion in the bottle and it is gentle and gradually faded the stain, hope this helps, good luck

        Once dye gets into the leather, it's pretty much impossible to get it out. It just isn't going to happen. The only honest options are to re-dye the leather or replace it. If you're trying to re-dye a dark area to a lighter color and make everything look normal across the entire area, chances for success are going to be limited because what you're trying to do is extremely difficult.
