  • G'day mates! From Aus :)

Just signed up here a few days ago, there's a wealth of information here. I always thought my car was too scratched and **** to even bother looking after. Since seeing some of the work done on some other cars I'm going to give my daily a shot. I'll see if I can borrow a digi cam and get some before/after shots and post it up.

There's some stuff which cant be fixed, few bad scratches/dings and theres a little clear starting to peal on the boot. But if I can make it look better than it does now then I'll be happy.

I have a project car which is getting a full respray/color change at the moment, so I'd also like to use it as some practise for 'the real thing' when I get my real pride and joy back

    Just thought I'd say g'day

Welcome Pishk, I have an old Ford econavan that is well passed its prime with rust and rust stains that I will be using as my practice vehicle.

Have fun sifting through the old articles...there is so much knowledge in there you just have to take the time to find it.

Yes, there's almost too much info! I was looking up some info on one thing, then I hear the mention of something else, so I go off chasing more info, and find something else then something else again!

It's all quite confusing for a detailing newbie like myself.

I've just bought myself some cleaners to tackle my interior with, as I figure that's a bit of an easier task. It's my mothers birthday and so I'm going to give her car a full detail to test out some of this stuff Her car is only 2yrs old, but has only ever been washed once! But it's not really in too bad condition.

My daily has terrible swirl marks, so once I've had a few other practise goes I'll tackle that too! This also gives me more time to sift through the endless amounts of information on these forums before I tackle the harder work!

Althought I'm getting overwhelmed the wealth of information, I'm finding it very enjoyable taking in the wealth of knowledge.

G'day Pishk welcome aboard and you're right there is a wealth of information on here. As I'm typing this I reckon it will be my first post! I've been studying and observing a lot.
