  • New Member from Tampa Bay area

Hello everyone. I heard about this forum from the ClubLexus forums. I got a new car and am hoping to learn how to keep it looking new! I'm hoping to catch the next class in Florida, I know I just missed one a couple months ago! Ok, I am going to the Class request forum to post now.

p.s. you have really cool smilies here.

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Sorry to hear just found out about us and missed the Tampa Roadshow Class, it was great class to teach and everyone had a lot of fun. The next class in Florida is going to be in the Fort Meyers Beach area and I'll even know this week when, (approximately), this is going to be possible as my Father-in-Law, (from Fort Myers Beach), will be here at our house in SoCal for my daughter's graduation and I can talk to him about when he's going to be back home in Fort Meyers Beach.

    Now note this...

We're not choosing Fort Meyers Beach because Ron, (My Father-in-Law), has a 31' Contender and is an avid Sports Fisherman as well as a Moderator on FloridaSportsman.com

It has nothing whatsoever to do with him and fishing. It's really about the fact that Fort Meyers Beach, Florida is supposed to be a great place to teach a class.

Great to hear. I'm a new member too...thanks to Bengalfang. When you get a date for Fort Myers Beach we will post it on Club Lexus Florida section to let people know too. I already posted this on the detailing thread.

Don't forget to wear these when you come

The thing to remember is that the Roadshow classes are not for specific Clubs unless the Club can arrange for a class on a Friday.

The Roadshow classes are for a wide spectrum of enthusiasts that are members of our discussion forum, not specific clubs.

If there is a car club that would like to have specific class just for their club, and this car club can get us a location on a Friday, or a Sunday that will hold around 20-30 people, then we can tie the club-specific class to the forum class.

        Hope that makes sense...

Any details on the Ft. Myers Class yet? I want to make sure I sign up in time so I don't miss a spot!

Will it be posted in the "Roadshow signup forum" first?

          Thanks

No details. My Father-in-Law is still visiting with us from Fort Meyer's Beach and I've talked to him about a future class in his area, but as far as planning this internally there are a few states and a few months ahead of this location that are still at the top of the list.

Coordinating a good location will be of the utmost importance, timing the class around good fishing will not be a factor.

Hey Mike, I might know a place in Ft. Myers where we could have a class.....I'm going there tomorrow and I will ask the manager there (he's a fishing freak himself) and I'll let you know. Tell you're dad its off of metro parkway in Ft. Myers. He'll know where I'm talking about

I am also from Sarasota, and would love to be able to attend a detailing class when you come around here -- fort meyers is but a hop, skip and maybe 90 miles away

Re: New Member from Tampa Bay area

New member here in the Tampa area. I use a lot of Meguires products and have since around 1984. I would love to attend a detailing class to try and pick up some new tips. Any news of the Ft. Myers meet or another Tampa meet?
