  • a new girl from the UK!

    Hi everyone

I've signed up here to try to learn something about keeping my new car nice!

Theres a lot of conflicting info at the moment and I just want to have a way to keep my new car (fiesta ST) looking nice - despite me being unable to use a hosepipe due to a ban at the moment!

        Hello Claire.

We have 3 things in common. I'm based in the UK, I'm also new here, and my area (hampshire) is also in the middle of a hosepipe-ban.

What things specifically are you looking for clarification on?

        Nice car BTW

          cheers guys

          Hosepipe ban is rubbish

Been doing a bit of reading up so am fairly clued up already - which is great!!

Only thing i get a bit confused about is which types of cloth to use with what stages of a wash!

            Hello...

Microfiber cloths are usualy best, but there are different kinds... Here are two favorites..

This one for drying the car:

            Water Magnet Drying Towel

And this one for removing cleaners/polishes/waxes:

            Supreme Shine Microfiber

The links go to the US site, but they should appear on the UK site as well.

Since the cloths cost a bit more, people will usualy keep a stack of other MF or terry cloths for door jambs, engine compartment, and other dirty places, or places where a good towel might snag and tear. And then keep the good cloths for use on the paint only.
