      thanks for the links

      the Previous Owner had a buddy do the paint on the car before i got it and didnt do the greatest job and i doubt he used any clear coat but other than that and the grease stains i got on it its in pretty good shape other than the normal rust from a car this old

      and does megiuars offer any good "begginers" cleaning kits

        Meguiar's offers some kits, but not really targeted at beginners doing what you want to do. Read through this thread and pick up at least the,

        Clay bar, ScratchX and the NXT Tech Wax along with a car wash, some applicator pads and some microfiber polishing cloths and you'll be good to go to get the paint all clean and shiny again.
