IE7 Help - scripted windows blocked....

OK, here is the message I get when I click on the link and/or image button when editing posts: "This website is using a scripted window to ask you for information. If you trust this website, click to allow scripted windows...."

Now I can allow the window to open temporarily and the next time I open IE it has the same message when editing on MOL. I have added MOL to my 'trusted sites' what am I missing? I would like this scripted window block to be ignored on MOL.

I'm having the same problem with IE 7 and for this reason and the reason that it crashes when I try to select a link from the drop down list in the Address bar.

Would like to delete IE 7 from my computer and re-install ANY older version of it.

Firefox is a great browser, that's for sure, the fact that Microsoft copied their tabbed browsing feature is proof the little guy can run circles around the big guy.

We use both browsers because they both have different strengths, neither one does everything the best, we hope that someday Firefox does everything the best but until then both have something to offer.

After doing some searching here and there I think I answered my own question, I found a 'workaround' for the following: "This website is using a scripted window to ask you for information. If you trust this website, click to allow scripted windows...."

Keep in mind, you are not just allowing this site(MOL) but all sites to run script so if you wish to keep this security feature don't use this 'workaround'.

I initially reset all my Internet options just to make sure I was starting from square one but here it is:

In IE7 - Tools > Internet Options and....


Scroll down to 'Scripting', under 'Allow website to prompt for information using scripted windows.' click 'Enable'.


So far it appears to be working.

Go to the security setting in IE and add http://meguiarsonline.com to your list of trusted sites. This will allow the scripted windows.

So:

from the tools menu select internet options

click on the security tab

click on Trusted Sites

click on the Sites button

uncheck the Server Verification Option

Add http:///meguiarsonline.com to your list of trusted sites.


This will allow the scripted windows.

If had the 'http://www.meguiarsonline.com' so I replaced the 'www' with '*' and it appears to be working.

I`ve never had a problom with my IE7 here or other places
