So maintaining with the ceramic line is the route with aftercare? The ceramic soaps and hybrid ceramic detailer and/or M799?

Yes correct, however, you do not have to do that..you could in theory just wash with Gold Class or Shampoo Plus, not do anything else and still get great results.

I know this is hard to answer but what exactly does "multi-year" mean?

Up to 2 years? 3 years? 5 years?

'Beyond Ceramic' is an interesting name. By use of the word 'beyond', I am assuming you mean surpassing? Is it not a ceramic at all then, or is it ceramic plus another, or multiple other, protective substances?

Since Opti Coat 2.0 has been discontinued I found Meguiar's Hybrid Paint Coating as a new way for longer paint protection. The new Beyond Ceramic Paint Coating offering longer durability is the music to my ears. In Northeast part of the USA winters may be harsh and snowy so this type of protection is truly needed. It's definitely going into my shopping list.

Hey to expand a bit more on this, mileage does truly vary so we did not want to just call it a "X number of year" coating like many others. We are confident around multi-year durability even in not ideal conditions (maintenance & environmental) & yes even longer with excellent care.

Hi Selectchoice, it is a ceramic paint coating, but it is 100% actives, which means there is no flashing off carriers like many other coatings. Easy application as well - low risk of high spotting, single coat application, easy wipe off. Stay in touch with us for these next couple months, we are working on a couple shop talk videos around this product we think everyone will thoroughly enjoy which dives much deeper than we can put on a label.

                    Hi Nick,

How many midsized sedans would you estimate you could single coat with one bottle of this, think Mazda 6/ Ford Fusion sized cars? Thanks!

                      Hi RPPM,

Likely at least 2 - 3, however, the applicator pads are only sold in the M88800 Beyond Ceramic Paint Coating Kit at this time, and they are fairly unique applicator pads designed specific for this formula, so you may not have the best application experience using other generic coating applicator pads. And of course, once you use the applicator pad, the microfiber face for applying the coating will no longer able to be used on other vehicles as the coating will cure in the applicator.

I can't imagine the pad is so unique that a comparable ceramic applicator can't be used. Meguiar's will be losing extra money if they decide not to sell this pad individually.
I am happy to see this coming to market though. I'll certainly try it.

Are there any details regarding how the new M888 holds up to (1) the temperatures of brake calipers and wheels, and (2) the brake dust and other contaminants found on wheels?

(Meguiars on Facebook just responded and there hasn’t been testing on wheels). So with that, I’d be interested if anyone else has tested it out yet.

Also, what is the plan for the applicator going forward if one bottle can provide two or more coats; will Meguiars provide two applicators in the package?

                              Hi,
                              any ideas/recommendations about maintenance?
is it OK to wash the car with Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax (2-component or a new one)?
what about using Hybrid ceramic spray wax (applying on wet and then rinse off)?
lastly - on the product page it states it’s good to use Hybrid bead booster. Non-diluted as a sealant or diluted as a detailer?
