How does this compare to the Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax (orange bottle) in terms of protection left? I had heard it was being discontinued. I assume sales weren't appealing to consumer market because of the mixing aspect? Whatever the case, I grabbed 'many many' bottles of them on discount up here.
So wondering if this new wash is a big leap forward?

Hi Buddy, regarding protection compared to original two liquid system hybrid wash & Wax, it is going to be similar results as far as protection & water beading. Keep in mind this is primarily used to boost and compliment your original hybrid ceramic wax protection layer. Regarding two liquid system, yes, your comments are correct. So not a big leap forward, but much better experience and now it can be used in a foam cannon!

Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax is my favorite car wash since its introduction. I don't mind two liquids and hybrid wash mitt at all. I know it's not Meguiar's preferred way of application but I have used it with a foam gun and a hand sprayer successfully, to eliminate a wash bucket and speed up the process.
The new 2024 version will simplify the wash process: one liquid, any wash mitt to be used. On my list to get.

Does this version still need to be used with the orange hybrid mitt?

Can it be used over an existing ceramic coating? Namely Diamond Kote. Will it help maintain it?

IMO, the older version (orange bottle) works FAR better than the new stuff. I was curious to see if anyone else had the same experience I did so I searched YT...sure enough, others agreed. I have to say Meguiars, I love your products, but in this case...newer isn't better.

What would u like to know? Doing on a search on YT, u can find some reviews on comparing the two. Their results matched mine, the guy who runs this channel did a video comparing the two...in fact, he did a follow up video w/ another test to make sure he did everything right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQA2dz6ukJU

Well this is good to know. Up here one of the chain stores, CT, put it on clearance. I really like the stuff alot, so basically cleaned them out on the stuff in the entire area and surrounding. It was on very cheap. So I have about 18 of them now. I kinda felt bummed when Megs released this with all my stash thinking the new version would be an upgrade. Good to know I'm good to go for a long time then.
