  • A longer Ultra Safe Wheel Spoke Brush (X1160)

I've got two of these and they are fantastic brushes, but I have one slight issue with them - they're not quite long enough.

I have a number of clients that have 9.5/10/11 and even 12J rear wheels and I can't get right to the inside edge with the X1160 at its current length without tearing my hand apart trying to get between the spokes. If the brush was two inches (let's say three just to be safe) it would make life much easier, my hand wouldn't look like it had been through a mincer, and some of my clients' wheels would be totally clean right up to the inside edge (I can't get some of them due to the design).

The other thing you could look at it getting the rubber bung on the end of the brush to stay there - mine quite often part company with the bush when they get caught on brake disc shields etc and I then have to scurry around trying to find it under the car!

Just a few thoughts of mine!

    Hi Ben,

What I use is a brush that is used with an oil/paraffin bath, it's a brush on the end of a pipe and the oil/paraffin is fed straight through the brush.............obviously I just use the brush by hand not the bath.

The brush itself is all plastic and about 1inch in diameter and 10inches long with very strong bristles.

    Hope that makes sense!
