  • Wax for light cars

Would it be possible to color wax so that when it dries on say, a white car, it dries a darker color so it is easier to see? Seems to me it would make wiping it off a breeze. No more missed spots!

    Re: Wax for light cars

I WAS JUST LOGGING ON HERE TO SUGGET THIS! This would make waxing light colored cars so much easier and it would be easier to apply a "thin" coat of wax.
Am i obsessed?? A car is the second biggest financial investment for most people, why not keep it looking better than new?

Seems to me the "coloring" might get into the pores of the paint. But I'm no chemist.....
      Black......the ONLY color!

I have had good success using the Brinkmann dual xenon held at a angle to see if I missed any areas.

one of the annoyances of waxing light coloured cars, esp white.
ive got a white car myself and i just feel drained everything im going to wax it because my eyes needs to strain on the surface to see if the wax is settled and ready for wipe off.
if nxttech2.0 dried in....lets saw purple, the same colour as the bottle, i would stock up and use it for life - but hey thats just 1 small person driving the sales so it might be too costly and not feasible.

I totally agree with the idea. Usually, I just look at the paint at different angles with some lighting to be sure no spot was missed.

Kind of reminds me of a sunblock that is available with those characteristics, to make sure your evenly covered.
