    After Rain QD

    As the title suggests I think Meguiars Should come out with a product that you spray onto the car after it has gotten wet from the rain. You would not wipe it off or touch it at all. Either the product would slide down with the water beads or it would attach to the water beads and make sure there are not water marks left behind. If anyone has seen the commercials for Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Cleaner it would be like that.

      seems like a good idea, but after a rain i usually inspect to see if any water spots are on my hood and usually there is none, i think if you have a good coat of wax this will help prevent water spotting but i dont know fo sure

        Well Right Now in the Winter the Snow Will Melt because of the Salt therefore leaving Salt in the Water and then when it dries it leaves these little cirlces of salt.

          hopefully we wont get anymore snow, were almolst out of February so Spring will be here soon

            Better yet, I think Meguiar's should develop polarized automotive body plating, which would cause the rain to sheet off the paint completely ... Just dreaming.

                Well, in theory that sounds great, but the problem is the science behind what you are asking it to do.

                "Water spots" left from rain can be caused from a fairly wide range of things, including (but not limited to) acidic rain, basic rain, puddling of dirt already on the car, or normal mineral deposits. This spray would have to be able to fix several possible issues, one of which in particular (removing all the dirt on the car) would be impossible without washing the car.

                There are just too many variables that go into what causes water spotting to create a universal fix in my basic opinion.

                I think your best bet is to do a full strength Last Touch wipe down after the vehicle gets rained on (as long as it isn't too terribly dirty) and gently wipe everything away. I try and do this and it works great- but takes 10 minutes or so.
