  • megs version of rain x ?

how about some glass treatment to repel rain?

rain x is good, but can cause smears on windsheilds

, Castrol had a product out a few years back called Castrol Accu-view. It made water bead on glass for better vision. It was a smaller spray bottle and it was just a spray on wipe off product (a lot easier than Rain-X). When I got my new used car it was raining the day I picked it up and I couldn't stand not seeing anything. I busted out the Accu-view (while it was still raining outside and it immiediatly got all of the water off, it was amazing and I miss it.

Nxt Glass Cleaner seems to have some sort of polymer in it that causes beading.. not as much as RainX, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Though I must say RainX has always removed my streaks.....

I like rain-x too but I would like to see Meguiars come up with a similar product.

I have experienced the same. The glass also seems to clean a lot easier as well. Meg's has a real winner here

NXT has offically replaced Stoners as my window cleaner. This is probably my favorite Meguiars product....

Don't know why things are 3 times more expensive in Canada...I was in Kitchener/Waterloo last week and the old version of the Quik Clay kit cost me $26.00...

You'll love the NXT glass cleaner...safe for tinted windows too!

                  bump

great idea was thinking of suggesting it and went looking.

Rain-x is the only product i use that isn't Meguiar's.

However, im sure Meguiar's can come out with a far superior product. Rain-X is not the easiest product to apply and remove.

Also, im not a fan of the denatured alcohol in rain-x.

hahah, same here. Rain-x is the only non-megs product that touches my car, except my car cover. I agree, meguiars should come out with a rain repellent. And what is so bad about denatured alcohol?

Re: megs version of rain x ?

i never really had a problem per say but after a 6-7 hour detail arms get tired and its a bit hard to wipe completely off.

Well, i know rain-x is bad for painted surfaces, most plastics, and other surfaces.

But needless to say meguiar's should and could bring a better product to the table.

I was a ig user for about 3-4 years. Only non-megs product I would use. Recently I purchased a gal of megs window cleaner concentrate. Now its Megs all the way. I really like this stuff. Its much better in my opinion then anything else I ever used.

I too would like a RainX like product, but for now NXT glass cleaner works well and like others have mentioned seems to have a little something in it.

I use to use IG all the time really liked it, then NXT glass cleaner came out and hands down a winner in my book, I use it not only in my car but in the house as my only glass cleaner. I have yet to try the concentrate but seems everyone that has it likes it.

I use NXT Tech Wax on glass and it does wonders.
