  • Single bar clay...

How about a single clay bar package, no QD'er/no towel, just the bar... kind of a use your own lube kind of thing. The pro clay is a little more than I want to spend and I really don't need that much clay for just my vehicle. Just a thought!

Yes, I agree that a small single clay bar without the QD and towel would be nice.

I have plenty of qd, so I just bought the mild clay. It is a little more than I wanted to spend, but that was all that was available and it should last me for a while.

This is a great feedback as far as a marketing stand point is concerned. As you know the clay is only sold by itself in the pro line, however if you break up the clay and store it properly it will last you a long time. If you have any questions or concerns please fill free to give me a call.

i am not sure it would sell
think about it stores dont want people to come back after they messed up their cars becaue they didnt use QD. Store generally prefer to carry kits where the end user has everything that he/she needs to reach their detailing goals

Yeah kind of thought that before I posted but... I have found to get the best of Meguiars products you have to call their 800# or order from another online retailer. So it may make it possible? Not a totally new clay just, even just the Smooth Surface Clay in a simple package nothing fancy you can only get from Meguiars/another car detailing retailer.

You use glass cleaner as a clay lube? I've never heard that one before.

If you're looking for a clay lube that is cheaper than QD (and likely safer on paint than glass cleaner) try some car wash soap. Just go out and buy an empty spray bottle. Then fill it up with an ounce or two of car wash soap and fill the rest with water (preferably distilled water to keep spotting to a minimum). When you're done claying just rinse the soap off your car and then dry.

This is what I use for lube. It smells like coconuts too!

glass cleaner, mainly alcohol, like final inpection, is harmless to paint, and leaves the car streak free and when used with clay gives the finish a clean slate to see defects and polish them. ive used this method for hundreds of cars
