What I see in the market

I am a Meguiars Distributor and there are a few new items that I would like to see added to the line that I go up against everyday.

1. Laundry Detergent

2. Aerosol Heavy Duty Carpet Cleaner

3. Aerosol Leather Cleaner with Oil of Mink

4. Adhesive Remover

5. Air Fresheners (Cherry, Watermelon, Mango, New Car)

6. Floor Mats

7. A Rack System that fits 8-10 5 gallon pails, brushes and a metering system.


Also I see that I am having trouble with some of the current products.

1. Body Solvent: customers saying it isn't strong enough. They are using lacquer thinner instead.

2. Need new pads and backing pads. Customers saying that the backing pads just don't hold the pads.

3. Compounds. I sell a great deal of the Detailer line. I have not had such great luck selling the compounds.

Is the laundry detergent for washing microfibers and towels, or are you thinking of a soap for cleaning buffing pads?

The laundry detergent is for cleaning microfibers and towels. A lot of people in this area are using the one from Auto Armour.

Why not just use Tide or some generic detergent? Is it because they want “one stop shopping” for all their chemicals or for some technical/performance reason?

If someone could develop a detergent that was able to remove the chemicals in wax, polishes, and some of the dressings from the microfiber towels and applicators that would be a nice benefit. Sometimes regular laundry detergent isn't strong enough to cut through the built up product in the towels.
