  • Old Product-Can I Use?

Today I bought an apparently OLD gallon of Speed Glaze. It's seal is not broken and the product sounds good in the bottle (unopened as of yet.)

It has the Speed Glaze Detailer label as I remember from the mid 90s when this stuff first hit the market. It's in a Meguiar's labelled bottle with Air O Pak on the bottom.

If it looks and feels normal, will it work properly, or should I return it where I purchased? I've not had to buy a gallon of Speed Glaze since 2000, but I know how it works and feels when correct.

It should be fine, as long as it reconsititutes properly. Just give it a REALLY good shaking up before you open it. I've used products 20+ years old that are fine after all the oils/liquids get back into solution like they should be.

I can't call it on #80 but check out how old this stuff I used is - Old School Rub-out

Joe, good looking hood when you were done. I've heard about corn starch, water, and kerosene so many times, but never tried it myself.

Interesting little machine as well. The results looked good in pictures.

Shiny, as far as the Speed Glaze, I'll give it a shot. I almost hate to open the old bottle, but I know there are plenty more when I use this one.
