I went to a local PBE store to ask about a product and told him what I was planning on using. Which would be the G100 that I just ordered. Anyways, long story short, the person (the owner I think) I was talking to was telling me that the Dual Action Polisher is in fact a Rotary Buffer, they both only spin one way, and that if I went above 1800 OPM I would burn right through my paint, etc... I just thought I'd mention that a Meguiars Dealer is telling people incorrect information.

Don't worry about burning the paint on your vehicle I have seen a video of someone trying to damage their paint with a PC and he did not, it was a video on the internet. Seems to me the demo was on a white SUV, anyone else seen it?

Sounds like he misunderstands the meaning of "Dual Action".

thanks for the information. In order to burn through paint you would need to use that machine with HEAVY pressure, along with a VERY aggresive product on an edge on the car for a long period of time to MAYBE have some problems.. To be honest you would have a better chance of burning through paint by hand then with this machine because the soft pad absorbs much of the downward pressure.

No worries, great machine completely safe and will make your car look fantastic!!!!
