  • Dirty brushes

    Hi from Italy,
I have a little problem with two of my new brushes. After some washes my tire brush and my wheel face brush are becoming very dirty (see photo). I rinse them with clean water every time I use them but it doesn't seem to work. I noticed that probably this dirt comes from the endurance high gloss gel, in fact I have the same issue on my applicator pad. I tried to wash them with dish washing soap but it didn't help. What is the best way to wash them?

    Regard

    Giorgio

You can try spaying some all purpose cleaner. I use simple green diluted to 1:1. But for the really dirty ones, I use it without diluting it. Just make sure to use plenty of water to rinse it off.
Life is a journey, enjoy the ride!

Yes, I would suggest a degreaser type of product too.

What type of Tire Dressing are you cleaning off with the tire brush? If you left the brush sit in about an inch of degresser and warm water for about 15 minutes, then with an old towel scrub the brush on the towel, it should clean it up pretty good.

I'm cleaning off endurance high gloss with the tire brush. I'll try with warm water and a degreaser. Hope it works...

I tried with a lot of different degreaser but without good results. The dirt is still there. Now I'm sure that this dirt comes from the endurance high gloss that tend to leave an oily residue. Does anyone else have this problem?

Not sure if Meguiars has anything this strong or not, but if you have an Advance Auto store, then look for this....

Purple Power is a very strong alkaline cleaner.

No, we don't have advance auto store in Italy. I used some strong cleaner but it didn't work...

I have tried Meguiars super degreaser on my designated tire brush with no help. The grime that builds up on the tire brushes is almost tar like and doesn't budge. However, I have found that the build up grime on the tire brushes does not seam to affect performance. For the wheel face brush, Let the bristles soak in some dawnand water for 20 minutes or so and see what that does.
