I to is kinda ticked off that megs products in canada are so overpriced that nobody touches the products on the shelf, mothers, eagle one etc.. moves off the shelf alot faster here where i live. The megs products seem to collect dust. All i have now is the nxt tech wax but i got it for 21 bucks online but it's the only nxt product that site carried, i am not going to shell out 60 bucks for like 3 megs products where i can get about 6 products just as good. Just to much money, i expect to get more then wax and glass cleaner for 60 bucks LOL
One bit of positive feed back about Megs Canada. I noticed that they dropped the price of the Dual action polisher from $400.00 to $250.00. Thats not too far off the price Megs charges it's US customers. I can't imagine they sold many at $400.00.
I have a new car, today I used the wheel cleaner which cost me $20.00. I used just over a quarter of the bottle, so that's about $5.50AU to clean 4 wheels with average road grime.
Once I have used all my Meguiars products I'm onto Eagle One, as stated herein, Eagle are also imported but much much cheaper and just as good.
I can't understand the lame excuse given for us paying inflated prices, please explain?
What is the saying? one unhappy customer can turn into hundreds!
Are there any recommended retail prices for Meguiars products?

Judgeing by the responses in this thread I think it's safe to say it already has turned into hundreds. I'm fully expecting this thread to be locked or deleted anytime now. Deleting or locking this thread won't change the facts though. I think it would be extreamly arrogant for a company to ignore this type of feedback when there are so many lower priced alternatives out there for customers to use.

Stevet,
Your last comment was uncalled for. We at Meguiar's Online do not delete or lock threads unless they violate the Forum Rules or turn into bashing sessions. We strive to provide a site that is open, friendly and extremely helpful in giving advice on the use of Meguiar's products. We want everyone to obtain the best finish possible. We also appreciate comments regarding a problem with a product etc as it only helps Meguiar's make better products for the detail enthusiast.
Posts made on MOL need to have a positive tone. So while I understand your frustration, remember, I live in Canada as well, there is a way to present it that does not take on a negative tone.

I made the comments I did because I sense a lot of frustration in some of the posts and I felt that they would be considered bashing of Megs. No disrespect intended on my part.

You have accomplished this and then some. I didn't mean to suggest otherwise.

Feedback is important to Meguiar's, so is keeping the tone of this thread as well as this forum civil. Let's everyone practice moderation and temperance in their comments, as I posted earlier in this thread,
The comments being made in this thread are valid and being read, and while the squeaky wheel may get the grease, it's also true that you catch more flies with sugar. So please be mindful of what you post and how you post it.

I sent an email to Meguiars Australia
Hi
I have been buying product online from the US and landing it in Australia for less than half the price it is being sold for in Australia.
In the USA, they sell NXT Tech Wax for around $13.00, in Australia it is $45.00, can you please explain why we are paying what appears to be an exhorbient price for your companies products?
I can go on comparing prices, however, I am sure you are aware of the high profit margin you are enjoying.
For Example: W-9006......$6.5"$10.95 (For DA Polishers)
Internet Special $8.95US
In Australia I am informed that the W-9006 retails at around $30.00.
Is Meguiars Australia owned by Meguiars USA or are you a distributor?
I am asking these questions as there is much debate on the Meguiars USA forum about excessive pricing outside of the USA.
I am also considering abandoning the use of Meguiars products for a cheaper equilivent as they are becoming a definite luxury.
Guys.
After reading all your concerns, I am positive that we all will see some changes sooner or later. I hope it to happen very soon.
My friend just brought me 4 packs of Supreme MF, 3 Water Magnet towels and 2 Mitts. It's impossible for me to get these wonderful products locally since the prices are high and certain products only reserve for their MEG Detailing center only! (Last Touch and several accessories for example) Next week, I will order 3M Gloss Enhancer from 3M dist because MEGS Thailand denies to sell Last touch to me since i'm not their detailing shop.
I never used 3M gloss enhancer before but since it's available, I'll just give it a try. The price is very close to US too.
Why can't a regular user of MEG enjoy these fine products as well? I am hoping that one day I will be able to purchase these wonderful products locally without having to ask my friend to ship for me.

This is the part the really bugs me. The other brands don't jack up the prices and they are faced with the same kinds of things as Megs when it comes to selling their products in another country.

As I told Mike in a recent e mail I hope Megs management realizes how loyal a customer has to be to make this kind of effort to get products. The customer could just as easily purchase a cheaper priced product from the compitition.
The management has to look at this long and hard b/c it's up to them if they want our buisness or not. It wouldn't make much sense and if this is thrown to the wayside and not looked into by the men and woman that take care of this at megs. It good to see all the comcerned people dealing with this problem. The more people who chime in and express their concerns is always the best way to go. Get's things done faster IMO.
The availability of this stuff in canada ***** also, i can't even get the wash at canadian tire
