Keep spreading the word. I went to an entry level show, where the kids had spent tens of thousands of dollars on hydraulics and electronics, but didn't know a thing about swirls, with my Miata that has (relatively) very little in the way of modification, but looks like this:
I spent much of my time in conversations that started with, "Man, who painted your car?" (Mazda did. In 1997.) Most of them WANT their car to look great, and think that it DOES. And MOST of them would DEFINITELY do it the right way, if they knew how to! There's certainly no lack of willingness to spend time working on their cars!
