Hello everyone. I recently ordered a gallon of M135 (Synthetic Spray Detailer). It came in yesterday, and I opened up the jug just today. For some reason, there is stuff floating around in the jug. In addition, although I admit that I am not sure what color the product is supposed to be (I can only guess that it is supposed to be clear, as Ultimate Quik Detailer is clear as far as I know), the product is a translucent light yellow color. Is it a bad jug? It makes me suspicious of the jug of D156 that I purchased with it, since I cannot be sure now if it is bad as well.

Re: Problem With Gallon of M135
My M135 is a white color and so is my jug of D156. Give is a shake!

Re: Problem With Gallon of M135
Well, they both should be watery, not chunky.
The spray wax would have more of a white color, and the detailer would be more translucent.
If there is something wrong with it, or you are not sure, do not hesitate to call Customer Service, or where you bought it. It should be easily replaced.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Problem With Gallon of M135
44247844,
Sorry to hear about the situation with our M135. This particular issue is not something we have seen recently. It was a small cosmetic issue that occurred a while back during the manufacturing process. It should not cause any real worry when using this product; however if you feel more comfortable making arrangements for a replacement gallon please give us a call at (800) 347-5700. Make sure to mention that your are calling in response to my post and this thread.Brian Hann

Re: Problem With Gallon of M135
Just to add to Brian Hann's comments: This was a short lived issue with a specific batch of M135 and, quite frankly, we're a bit surprised that there are still bottles of this "in the wild". That said, I have personally used two bottles with the little yellow stringy looking things in the, simply pouring them off into a spray bottle (which you have to do anyway) while placing a coffee filter in a funnel. The product works as intended and there are no issues with it at all. Still, when you pay good money for a product you expect to not encounter this sort of thing, so we are more than happy to replace this for you as Brian mentioned. As for the D156 you purchased at the same time, we have seen no issues of any sort with any production batch of this product so you should have no issues with the one you acquired at the same time as the M135. There is zero relation between the material in the M135 and routine production of any other product.
We do apologize for any frustration and/or inconvenience this may pose.Michael Stoops

Since I ordered from Meguiar's, there should be no problems with old jugs of product sitting in an unheated warehouse and freezing, correct? And obviously, since I ordered in June, it did not sit in a freezing trailer while waiting to be delivered. I am just a bit paranoid about about using the D156, as even though there are no issues with bad batches, I do not know if Meguiar's stores their products in heated warehouses, and apparently freezing is bad for wax (common sense tells me that Meguiar's does have heated warehouses for their products, but you never know for sure unless you hear it).Brian Hann
