Can someone explain how I can go about getting a Megiaur's certification for an auto detail shop ? I mean if I want to start up a shop and use Meguiar's logo and signs.

It's interesting to see how much interest there is in this topic. I have a number of other things to accomplish today and tomorrow and I'll try to get to this on either Thursday, or even Friday. Until then, note what I wrote in my first reply to this thread...

Hi Ed,
We now have a process for support, I have some other things I'm working on right now, how about I get back to you on this latter this week?
Mike
I stated that we now have a process, or system for support, it doesn't state we have a process or system for Certification.
See the difference?
The topic of certification has been around for a long time and there are a number of issues that create problems without any solutions, mostly in the area of control. Meguiar's cannot control the quality or lack thereof for any given detailer or detail shop even if they have gone through a training course and have been certified. It's one thing to certify that a person has attended a training course, it's another thing to certify, or guarantee this person will,
- * Use Meguiar's products
* Turn out top notch work
* Conduct themselves in a professional manner
These are things most people would would look for and expect from a detailer or a detail shop that claims to be Meguiar's Certified and these are things Meguiar's would consider vitally important if our name is going to be associated with a business.
Does that make sense?
It's just like anything in life, in that a majority of people are honest, good hard working people, while a handful of people cause most of the problems. In the detailing industry, detailers and detail shops go into business one day and are gone the next. It's not unthinkable that some people would try to leverage the Meguiar's name recognition to help make their business successful with no regard to quality and professionalism.
That's not to say there is no solution, but as of today, we don't offer a formal certification program for detailers or detail shops.

Let's see, a world leader in surface care products with over 100 years of service offering my small business "a process for support".
Mike, I'll (dare I say we'll) take whatever help you and/or Meguiar's are willing to provide.
Thanks and looking forward to your response!
