Gold Class liquid wax.

Can someone please explain how this stuff should act.

I applied it with my 110 and it doesn't seem to want to dry. I let a thin coat sit about 20-30 minutes, did a swipe test and failed. When I removed it with a supreme shine, it smeared quite a bit but cleaned up nicely with an ultimate wipe.

My brother left the bottle(newer improved version) when he moved out. So it is a few years old, maybe 4 to 6 years, but it's been inside and sealed up the whole time.
I don't know if there is anything wrong. I'd hate if my free wax went bad.

Was it humid there? That can throw things way off with any wax.

Did you shake it until your arms fall off?

I think GC has a lot of oils and is a blend of many different polymers and chemicals.

So a good shake might do the trick.

Also, seeing as how it's been sitting for a long time. I'd suggest shaking it for 5 minutes straight.

Of course. the stupid humidity! Rained today.

It worked fine on my car when it was hot and dry.

I used to use Gold Class liquid.I still have half a bottle from 8 years ago.I just cleaned up the cap and it was ready to go.I did a white car about a month ago and it behaved normaly.....

Applied(by hand and applicator),left for ten minutes(dried)and wiped off.The result was fine.

Mine has been kept in a lock up all that time...cold in the winter and hot in the summer,but never exposed to freezing or direct sunlight.

Maybe you've got a bad bottle?....or was exposed to extreme climate.

Use it on something other than automobiles.Wax of any kind is always handy.I don't use quik wax on my car,but I use it on a lot of other things.

I found the GCLW to be good.I prefer others though,such as NXT2..

The only Meguiar's product I didn't like was quik wax.But I use it on loads of other things and it's okay.

Out of curiosity,is quik wax still in production?.......or was it discontinued when UQW came out?

I havn't seen UQW here,but all you guys say it's top notch.

I think Gold Class wax is way to hard to remove compared to other waxes from Meg's.

There was another product that was even worse, and that was Gold Class Clear Coat Prep and Swirl Reducer.

It left a pretty good shine, but it was pure agony to remove.
