Improving the UQD and UQW sprayers?

Is there any way that the sprayers, specifically those for UQD and UQW, could be redesigned? I have 2 bottles of UQD and 2 bottles of UQW because both of the sprayers on the first bottles I had quit working about halfway through the bottle. If that happens again with these bottles I'm going to just have to get some sprayers or something from Walmart to make due. I like the sprayers and the bottle design for both products, I just wish it were something a bit more durable. I know that the sprayers for products like Supreme Shine, Natural Shine, Quik Detailer, Quik Interior Detailer, etc., are similar, but I have had no problems with them. I personally wouldn't mind seeing these products with the same type of bottle and/or sprayer as M135, M40, etc. Thanks!

I haven't ever had one fail but they seem to shoot with a spray of a circle. Sometime the top of the sprayed circled isn't there, like a V was taken out of the top of the circle, nothing too bad but annoying at times. I like the D Line type sprayers, but the Quik Detailer type of sprayer is pretty good too.

I too haven't had one fail but I'm not a fan of the fine mist they put out. Even the slightest breeze will see most of the product blown away or onto a panel for which it wasn't intended. I personally prefer a more direct spray.

...And the trigger seems to be either on or off; i.e. it is too hard to do a small "half" spray.

The products themselves are awesome though...

Maybe a gentle but constant pressure on the trigger sprayer should do the trick

Sometimes with those triggers they seem to break before the product is done having it leak from the neck.

I guess, I have been lucky so far. The sprayers on my bottles work just fine.

Maybe you could try this. I realize it won't help you now. But in the future it may, When you have a bottle that the sprayer works properly. When you are finished with the bottle, unscrew the sprayer, Then when you have a "bad" sprayer change out to the one you saved.

Or you could invest in a detailer linespray bottle and sprayer. Just transfer the contents into the spray bottle. Problem solved.

i've had this same problem with my UQD bottle before. the nozzle seemed to get glogged up and dripped all over when you were trying to squeeze the trigger. i now use this spray bottle for my m135. minus the HD label of course!

I too have had problems with both sprayers. I've transferred them into other bottles and re-labeled them.

I've had a couple fail but the trick is to squeeze slowly not squeeze the trigger like your saturating something like with the Detailer line bottles.

I keep a bottle around just in case I do break one.....

I'll probably just hang on to my M135 and my M40 bottles and use them for UQD and UQW, after I've cleaned and relabeled them, of course. It's just annoying that the original bottles don't last longer.

I run them under hot water and it seems to clear them out.

Thanks Mike! It's great to know that we have a place we can go to if we have an issue with something, and even better to know that Meguiar's actually cares about customer concerns. I absolutely love UQD and UQW - probably the best quick detailer and quick wax I have ever used (although UQD and M135 are tied pretty darn close in my book). My only issue is those darn sprayers. One of my UQD bottles sprays a 3'' diameter 10-foot jet, and the other UQD bottle sprays an 8'' diameter 8-inch jet, lol.
