  • UQD Question

I've purchased two bottles of UQD and both of them have serious issues with the sprayer part of the bottle.

If I purchase a refillable sprayer bottle, will the UQD still mist like it's supposed to? Or do I have to keep buying them until I find one that works correctly?

    Re: UQD Question

I think many of us have had similar issues with those sprayers. I switched the sprayer from an old bottle of something? I had that worked great and no more problems. You certainly could put your UQD in another spray bottle with no problems as far as the product is concerned. Some sprayers are adjustable and you can twist the nozzle to get the pattern you like best. Some cheap spray bottles at the 99 cent store work well too.

      Re: UQD Question

I use my Last Touch 1:1 quick detailer spray in a standard adjustable spray bottle, and it atomizes the liquid just fine.

For my UQD...I have 2 bottles as well, and both spray differently, even though they are nonadjustable spray nozzles. One sprays like a laser beam; about 8 feet long and four inches wide is its spray pattern.
The other one sprays about 10 inches long but 8 inches wide...haha.

Nevertheless, I use the supplies because the results are great .

        Re: UQD Question

I bought a bottle from ADS and the second time I used it, the trigger broke off. So I went to Walmart and picked up another bottle. If the sprayer works on that, I will pour the product from the first into the second when it is empty.

          What is the issue?

You certainly can consider calling customer service as well.

              Re: UQD Question

I had a problem with my QD bottle and my QID bottle. It seemed to me that consumer line spray bottles were just not very good quality, though their contents are. Is it an isolated incident or not?

Just to clarify for everyone, saying "a problem" doesnt help, have to say what was actually going on.

I have not had anything I would consider a problem, so I dont know.

                  Re: UQD Question

The problem is the first bottle doesn't spray at all. The trigger pulls all the way, but nothing comes out. It doesn't sound like air is coming out, as if the feed tube had broken, nor is the trigger stiff, like there was a clog somewhere. So, I purchased the second bottle hoping to use that and then pour the contents from the first bottle in when I was done. However, that one sprays, but only about a half "circle" of spray. And it's drips a lot onto my spraying hand with each trigger pull.

I can't really agree about the consumer line have poor bottles, as I've used countless bottles of Quik Detailer (maroon bottle) and several NXT Detailer, with absolutely no problems with any of those. Maybe I just got two consecutive bad quality bottles. I need to place an order sometime soon, so I'll just pick up a few spray bottles for things like that.

                    Re: UQD Question

My bottles spray but must be kept in an upright position at all times or it will allow a large amount of products to just drip out. If you tilt the bottle to far forward (for horizontal surfaces) you end up dripping excessive product.

I'm moving this into the Customer Hotline section so they can be made aware of the issues with the bottle.

Also, have you tried calling Customer Care to see if they can replace the product for you?

As far as something being clogged, you can take off the sprayer, and dunk it in warm water and try spraying warm water through.

Also, I have had one or two bottles where the head needed tightened down a bit.

Exactly the "issues" I have had with every bottle I have used.

No, I haven't tried calling them. I understand their customer service is great, but I didn't think two bottles of UQD was worth the hassle. I'll probably just buy a new sprayer bottle to use.
