W68DA Backing Plate Problem?

    W68DA Backing Plate Problem?

    Just got this backing plate in the mail. It has some sort of "bubbling" happening on the edge. It feels like a thin layer of the material is covering a deep gash in the molding up to the rim.



    Am I paranoid in thinking that the rim is going to spin off at some point, or is it worth trying to get a replacement?

    I would call Meguiars Customer Care Hot Line.
    They may replace it for you.
