G110 failed me, today.

Good Afternoon,

I thought I had avoided the failure issues with my G110 until today. The unit stumbled and then quit. Unit has about 15 hours on it. Unit was bought from ADS on 05/15/2008. I have left a message for Rick at ADS, but thought it would be wise to post the information here as well. I was not sure if I should process the warranty return through ADS or Meguiars.

You might have heard of some units failing. But I am sure their are a lot of units out there that are working just fine.

No worries. It is more frustrating then anything, especially when you are in the middle of doing a job. I looked up shipping cost and it isn't cheap to send these all the way back to California. I don't see how companies can only charge 10-15 dollars for shipping out their products. They must eat some of the cost.

I use the good ol' Unites States Postal Service, it is cheaper than FedEx or UPS in our area.

Yes, that is the address, Joseph gave me. I think I am going to try the USPS, UPS and FEDEX wanted between 50.00-70.00 dollars to ship it by ground.

Something is wrong if they want to charge you that much. The normal range we have seen, in the 48 contiguous states of course, is $15-$25.

The lowest price quote I have received is $35.00 through USPS. How do you recommend shipping? Air or ground? I think I am getting a higher price because they want to ship it 2 day air.

I had two from that same time that I bought from ADS. They both died. Customer Service took good care of me. As for the shipping, they will usually throw a few extra products in with your new G110.

Express shipping is always much more expensive. Just sent it by Ground.

I think I paid less than 15 bucks to ship my G100 to Meguiar's to have it tested at an Open Garage.....

I got it back with the newer backing plate and gave my original one to a MOL member.

Seems high, ground should be fine as Brian said.
