  • G110 Died yesterday

I thought it was rotating slower without any pressure applied.
If I put any pressure on it, it would stop.
I cleaned the pad and it still acted the same. I put on a new pad without any improvement. I unplugged it, plugged it back in and it was dead. I have only used it 5 or 6 times. I bought it in October from ADS.
My question is, should I deal with ADS or with Mequires direct? I tried to call both but they are on holiday.
I love the machine and the results I get using it.

Has anyone else had any problems with the G110's reliability?

    Hi Dan,

I moved your post out of the "Frequently Asked Questions" forum and into Customer Service.

Just to note, today is a recognized holiday at Meguiar's so everyone is off today.

Please contact Customer Care at 1-800-347-5700 tomorrow, Tuesday, February 17th between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm PST

The G110 either is working normally or not. It has a clutch and this affects whether the pad rotates or not, things like the speed setting will also affect whether the pad rotates or not as will a flat surface or holding the pad on an edge.

          Re: G110 Died yesterday

I just wanted to say THANK YOU Mequiar's!
My G110 died and I was told to send it in for a replacement.
I thinking "here we go" I have heard this before from other vendors. So I sent it in and had not heard anything for about a week. Now I am thinking "I knew it".
I called and talked to Brain on the phone and he said he would call as soon as it arrived. A day later there was a message on my phone that the new unit was on it's way.
Two day's later on my front porch was a Mequiar's box with a brand new G110 inside, along with a new finishing pad.
I have dealt with many vendors at work and home and have had issues with many.
I am just so impressed with the Customer Care shown at Mequiar's I felt I
needed to thank them where the most folks would see it.

          Thank you again.

          Dan Harrison
