Scratch-X separated and will not remix

Is there a trick to getting Scratch-X to remix after sitting for a month? I used it on a few thing when I purchased it a couple of months ago, then put it on the shelf with the rest of my Meg's goodies. When I tried to use it yesterday, no matter how much I shook, massaged or kneaded the tube, the only thing that came out was a thin foggy liquid. It looked like water with a very small amount of Scratch-X mixed in.

Is there a trick to storing or getting it to recombine?
