G110 died

while my 9 year old G100 is still going strong,my 2 month old G110 died this weekend. the speed control only allows it to run at 6. now i don't have a worry about replacement i was just wondering if this is a problem with alot of them that meguiars needs to know?

there was other problems with the machine stalling and wont start up after...... they were all taken care of by meguiars

all this problem with the G110 makes me kind of glad i went with the G100 even though it is not as powerful.....

I know that meguiars stopped including lifetime warrenty starting with the G110 because many people were buying the ones off lowes and amazon even though those only have 1 year warrenties because of the $100 price difference....however...i think meguiars really need to come out with a optional extended warrenty plan to offer to people who want to have a peace of mind that their investment in their G110 is still safe after 1 year.... especially people that don't have a lot of money to spend and saved up for a long time before they could afford $150 + tax + shipping for the buffer.... they cant afford another one if it breaks after 1 year....

all these problems with the new units make me think that meguiars went with a cheaper company that can offer the unit for cheaper but could not offer the same quality control as porter cable.....

I rarely hear about the G100 breaking.... there were some but the numbers are very small....and also considering how long the unit has been around....

the G110 has only been around for 2 months? and already there are quite a few users that have experianced mechanical failure of their G110....

but anyways.... i am sure meguiars will stand behind their product and make sure everyone is satisfied so if there is a problem to be taken care of... it will be taken care of....
