  • Problem with applicator bottle??

Hi not long ago i purchased Meguiars natural dash and rubber protectant, now i just love the finish that this product gives, but i was very dissapointed with the spray applicator that you apply it with as you pump it up and down it seems to get an air lock in it, and you have to end up unscrewing the cap and pouring it onto a cloth, i don't know if this problem is just in Australia or not, has anyone else had a problem like this at all??

Or have Meguiars changed to a new bottle??

i find this with all pump bottles, not just meguiars. armorall, 303 etc. all use the same style and get the same problem.

I don't know if the Detailer line of bottles is better but I've never had a problem with them. They are spray versus pump but I think the concept is pretty similar.

        Hey,

Give this a try. Take the sprayer and place your finger over the pick up tube. Now pump it a few times, taking your finger on and off the pick up tube. That has worked for me as I have had that trouble on all kinds of pump sprayers, from all kinds of brands. Even soak the head of the sprayer in case some product dried in the opening....

        I hope this helps!

          Hi Tim,

I thankyou Tim very much for your advice, i will try that and i will let you know, i actually had a bottle and took it back to the Auto shop and swapped it for another, it went ok for a little while but then would not spray like the previous bottle......but as you have suggested with putting the finger over the pickup.....i will give it a try!!

          Thanx everyone for your input

          Thanx Tim
