I had the same problem and smelled like grapes. I bought mine at Costco as a bucket package.

I'll be calling the number. Glad I'm not the only one with this issue.

Mine smelled exactly the same.
I called 800 number, but I got whole Gold Class package off eBay, so only option for me is to toss it to trash bin

i called about my replacment bottle two weeks ago as of thursday (9/21) and still havent recieved my bottle...should i call again or wait it out a couple days??

didnt realize that there were two pages before my last post... my smelled like grapes as well...looked like grape soda only a little lighter. i have been waiting for my bottle for two weeks now and i am almost tempted to just go to big lots and pick up another bottle

after three weeks and two calls to Meguiars I finally recived my package...but I got 16oz's instead of 8oz's I happy now!!

Bummer, I just picked some up from Biglots also. I just ran and looked at it, it's not real watery, but does smell like grapes. Guess I'll give it a try and see it it works. Shouldn't harm anything, right?

The new bottle I recieved smells the same as the one from Big Lots, but isnt even near the consintancy of it, It almost looks like the consintancy of wax, but maybe a little more watery.

Sorry, reading back I noticed we never addressed the smell. The product is absolutely supposed to smell like grapes. That is maybe it's biggest trademark. I apologize for not addressing that earlier. I didn't even think about it because that part of it didn't concern me as it is normal. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replys lilblkblt04 and Brian Hann. Can't wait to try it. According to the weather it's going to rain here until Sunday, so i guess I will be waiting to try it. Oh well, my truck will be all dirty by then, so then I have a good reason to detail it again... lol

I also bought (3) bottles from Big Lots. It looks just like the pic farmboy posted. I thought there was something wrong with it. It was kind of a pain to put on so I haven't used it since. I should have known the deal was too good. Now I know why it was so cheap. I asumed it was old or something. Every Meguiar's product I ever used has alway had a nice texture and apperence. This just looks weird.

One thing I wanted to just make clear is that all of the products we do send Big Lots are good products. We never send out old products just to get rid of them. However. we all know it is possible that a product may go bad over time and it is hard to know how long a product sits on a store shelf. If you do get a product, whether it is from Big Lots, AutoZone, or any other retailer that sells our products and you have problems just give our 1-800 number a call. We would be happy to replace it for you.
