  • Duo-Fiber Glass Super Towel Problem

I purchased the Duo-fiber glass super towel today and it is putting all of this little lint all over my Windshield. I searched and saw that other people are having this problem as well. Should I wash the towel or take it back to the retailer? Do you guys think they will take it back after it has been used? Maybe I should just call Meguiars CS and see if they will help or send whatever will replace the product since it is discontinued.

I would recommend washing the towel first. If washing and drying does not remedy this problem we will absolutily remedy this with a replacement towel.

    Keep us posted.

I used several duo-fibers in germany, all have the same problem. The NXT glass cleaner is really good and then you destroy everything with this towel. I washed all of them some times, some before, some after use - in the best case its getting less linting, but never stops. Dont believe that a replacement could help...

I went through several of the Duo Fiber towels. I think out of the four I owned only one didn't lint and/or fall apart. I contacted Meguiar's and they replaced all my Duo Fibers with the yellow microfiber towels (Supreme Shines?).

OK I washed it with some Gain, like we use on our regular clothes. However I am a freak abou this but I always make sure to let the washer fill up with water then pour in the wash solution and aggitate it around with my arm. Then I put the MF towels in. I washed it on the delicate cycle so it hopefully will nottear apart on me. I am letting it air dry so I will let you guys know something tomorrow.

Has anyone REALLY found a towel that doesn't lint to some degree?

I can't say that I've experienced linting with any of my microfiber towels. Just make sure you wash microfibers seperately from other towels and that the lint trap in the dryer is clean.
