Mike I found a place to order the Porter Cable orbital polisher from. I would have ordered it from Meguiar’s Canada but it would cost me $408.21 where at this other location I can get it for $239.00 and its the exact same tool.

Is there any special backing plate I will need to use the Meguiar’s buffing pads? If so do you know anyway I can get a hold of one? I couldn’t find anywhere to order it off the Meguiar’s Canadian website.

    Hi mopar,

Things sure sound expensive up there in Canada!

Let's see if 2hotford has any ideas as to where you can purchase a backing plate for the PC. By the way, where did you end up purchasing it from?

      Hey Mopar,

The Meguiar's backing plates are available out west at our Lordco stores. I am sure that if you call the Lordco in Vancouver etc. that you could probably have one shipped to you. Otherwise, if you could call the local NAPA dealer, I am sure that they too can help you out!

Here is a link to Lordco:

Lordco Auto Parts is your one-stop aftermarket auto, truck, RV, and more parts and accessories store. We stock a wide variety of parts, tools, and outdoor gear from reputable brands. With over 100 locations throughout British Columbia and Alberta, Lordco is your local go-to auto parts store.

            Hey mopar,

Yes, most Canadian Tire stores carry the PC 7424. They may not carry the appropriate Meguiar's Backing plate though. That is when you will need to contact NAPA or Lordco just to name a couple of places.
