  • Got the buff pad, now where is the G100?

    Hello;

    I ordered your G100 Porter Cable Polisher on 6/1/06 and was sent a tracking number etc. Today i got the package with on W8006 buff pad. After looking at my order on your site it shows that that is included in the "package" while it does show that item as shipped it shows this as well:

    G100 PORTER-CABLE POLISHER
    Each 1 $0.00 $0.00
    Awaiting Shipping
    W64DA MEGUIAR'S 5" BACKING PLATE (D.A.)
    Each 1 $0.00 $0.00
    Awaiting Shipping


    Are these back ordered or out of stock? I dont understand why i was not alerted to this fact when i ordered.

    BTW my order number is 361920.

    Thank you, i would have called, but i am pretty busy this week. If it does not get resolved relativly soon i will place a call to the center.

    Hey Alex,
    Regarding your order # 361920: Yes, the Dual-Action Polisher and the backing plate are currently on back order. I apologize for this. Unfortunately, the way the online ordering system is currently set up it doesn't notify the customer when things are on back order (as you discovered). Hopefully, in the future that will change. They are currently working on getting those two items off of back ordered status, and when that takes place, they will automatically ship those items out to you (with no extra charge of course). So, sorry for the back order, and thank you again for ordering with us. If you need anything else let us know.

      Ahh, i see. Thank you for your prompt response. That would explain a few things. I was quite confused with the UPS guy got here and only brought out a little package. I was thinking maybe its like one of those freeze dried things where you have to add water, lol.

      Do you by chance know when it will be back instock? Hopefully it will be before July.

        They don't have an eta on the two items unfortunately..., but I do know that they do attempt to get on these things pretty quickly...yeah, that would be great if our products were small, and set up to "just add water". Let me know if you need anything else, and thanks again for your patience.
