Has anyone else had this problem? The past 3 internet orders that I have placed with meguiars have either been incomplete or incorrect. I had just placed an order on 11/2/05 for some products. I had scheduled to detail 2 cars for the week of 11/15/05. My velcro backing plate for my g100 is bad so I ordered a new one. I received the order last week minus 2 items (the backing plate being one of those items). I contacted customer service and they informed me that the plate would be shipped on the 14th. I received the order on the 15th, and no backing plate was in the shippment. I understand that nothing always goes perfrect and customer service seems always willing to help. So when I recieved the 2nd shipment today minus the backing plate I called customer service to find out what was going on. I was told that they would call me back and let me know what they could do. 2 1/2 hours later, nobody called. I again called back and was told they would 2 day air the backing plate and I should have it by Friday.
So I am sitting here 2 days behind schedule with a car that has all the trim taped up and ready to buff with another car on the way in and I can't start any buffing until late Friday when UPS arrives (and I probably won't be able to do either car because of the delay). I told customer service that I would be willing to pay for the absolute quickest shipping possible. I have purchased all my products from meguiars either by internet or at the local stores. The products are great, but I am so frustrated right now I don't know what to do. I have two people that are going to be pretty upset when they find out I can't deliver their cars as promised. I would like to know if I can by a 6.5" backing plate somewhere else that would work with the buffer and if anyone else is expieriencing this problem.
