I attended a car club meeting last night. As always we gather around the cars at some point and check who has got the painted surfaces looking the best. A statement was made that Quick Detail sprays remove the wax that is on the car and that lead to someone stating that QD actually hardened any treatment that was already on the car. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

Re: Fact or fiction QD
FICTION !!!
I believe both of those statements would be false. The general idea of a quick detail spray is to safely remove any light dust or dirt before it has time to bond to the surface of the paint.
As far as quick detailing sprays go they do not remove wax from the vehicle. They are actually engineered to prolong the life of the wax by keeping the surface clean and enhancing its gloss to give it that deep and look.
Quick detail sprays hardening the wax? ...NO... While it may not harden the wax, it will help prolong the wax's life by keeping the surface clean and corrosion free. Hope this helps clear things up for you. Basically a quick detail spray is just that, a mist on wipe off product to give it that just detailed look.- Markito -
