I have a question for any one who knows.
I have a customer that wants me to detail there "Delorian"(I might be miss spelling). but the car is stainless steel, how would one go about detailing that? Crome or metal polish??

I just met a guy in my home town that has a Deloren, not sure myself how to work on the Stainless steel body because it's possible to do the wrong thing, as in make the stainless too shiny as compared to how it started from the factory. Some people might want the factory look which is a brushed look.

We need to both get some information on this.

I wouldnt have the slightest on how to procede on a delorian, its rare to just see one let alone get the chance to detail one.

We used that on the Ghost as seen in this link, although that was Aluminium: - http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...t=Silver+Ghost

If you do try it I can tell you you won't need more than 1 x 150ml bottle........we used less than 1 bottle on the Ghost and that's a huge car

I would think any stainless steel cleaner/polish would work. Of course, I'm probably wrong.

I found this after a quick search...

No special care is needed in keeping the body looking beautiful. It is maintained about the same way you clean your stainless kitchen sink. Minor scratches and scuff marks are readily removed with a "Scotchbrite" pad by rubbing with the original grain of the panels. The only precaution is to minimize any rubbing across the grain of the panels as this may scuff them. The best advice to keep the stainless steel in good condition is to keep your DeLorean clean and avoid using metal abrasives when rubbing out scuff marks.
