  • I need some help scuffs in clear coat of rims

So I just bought these new rims and when the tires were mounted they ended up scuffing the outer edges of the lips. I am hoping that the clear coat can be polished out enough to save them or at the very least make the damage less noticeable. These were done at a friends shop so I don't wanna go back to them and have them replace the wheels.

You could try ultimate polish first. If that doesn't work you could go more aggressive and go with ultimate compound.

Thanks I wasn't sure what plan of attack to go with since these are a clear coated wheel.

Probably would plan on UC really... but cna try UP first if you like.

          I agree - probably UC.

Either take the tires off, or tape them off. You don't really want to get compound on them - it may be hard or impossible to completely remove.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

What should I use for a pad?

Use a foam applicator pad. Or if you need a little more bite, use a MF pad (both hand pads).

Thanks everyone, follow up the compound with polish than wax?
