When putting on uc by hand do I really need to apply pressure or do I let the product do the work? I will be using an s3hp with the 4in yellow pad.
    Thank,
    Joe

One more thing, I saw the how to clean your pad in the fly for the da buffers, but how do I clean my pads when I am strictly using my hands?

Definitely needs pressure to work the product into the paint, at least for removing defects.

Well, you can do a kind of squeeze/press to get some excess out. Although I don't know that the pad loading up is as big of a deal for hand use.

Do the same as on the fly. Use moderate pressure, like Murr said to remove defects.

You are going to need some pressure, but exactly how much will depend on the severity of the defects and how well the paint responds to the input. Even with hand application it's possible to overuse product and start to load up the pad, and certainly to have product start to dry up on the edge of the pad. So, every so often just press the pad firmly against a clean terry cloth towel to force excess product out of the pad, and brush the edge of the pad clean with the same towel.
