  • Rock Chip repair possible? (by hand)

I have a 2004 Nissan Frontier that is in Sand Dune Metallic and there are rock chips on the fenders and near the wheels. The previous owner didn't take care of the truck, so I am trying to restore it. I will post pics soon, but I need to know if it is possible to remove them or repair them by hand. (I might consider a DA polisher if you guys think it will help.)
    Thanks,
    Ryan

DA will help with majority of exterior repairs ( swirls, light scratches, polishing, waxing; quite a handy tool). As far as rock chips, depending on depth into the paint a simple, a cover up of touch up paint or something more intense as wet sanding.

I have plenty of rock chips in my daily driver and feel that it isn't feasible to repair because, as my daily driver
on a main highway I will always incur more while driving. Sort of a loosing battle. But if your plan is true restoration matching touch up paint will be the best an most cost effective.
