  • Foam or Microfiber?

With the advent of microfiber, it's becoming impossible to find foam applicator pads locally. I know they can be ordered, but I usually need them yesterday.
I believe Meguiars recommends foam or terry cloth on all wax product containers. They include a foam pad with their high end waxes.
So, does anyone use the MF pads for polishes and wax? My experience is the MF's are good with UC, M105, etc, but maybe a bit aggressive for polish and wax.
    What's your take?

Check Pep Boys, they sell a foam hand applicator.

A microfiber hand application pad shouldn't pose any problems when applying a pure polish or wax unless you have super delicate paint. Even then, it really shouldn't be a problem since the application of these types of products doesn't require much elbow grease (or at least you shouldn't be applying them with a lot of energy). Yes, microfiber can add some aggressiveness to the application of a compound or paint cleaner when used with some passion, but a good, soft microfiber applicator pad should not cause any more harm to the paint when applying wax than the microfiber towel you use to wipe off the hazed wax at the end of it all.
