Could anyone make a comparison of the cleaning power of ColorX against DC Paint Cleaner (DC1) for me please?
My project is to clean up my daughter's car and give it some protection. I'm not looking to do any scratch or swirl correction because the general condition of the paint doesn't warrant it. I'm just looking to get rid of the oxidation and surface contamination and help it to stay that way.
On the areas I've tried I've found that A12 Cleaner Wax is not quite strong enough whereas the DC1 cleaner seems to do a better and good enough job. I could continue with the DC1 and follow it with some
wax but I'd kind of like to do this job in one step and so have been wondering about getting some ColorX. I understand ColorX to be a stronger cleaner than A12 but am not sure where it would be on the scale compared to DC1.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

If you want one step, ColorX is the way to go.

At worst it will be equal by hand, if not a bit stronger.

Of course you can be sure to work it in well, or switch from foam to a terry applicator if needed. Of course terry can be agressive, and could leave its own marring.

ColorX is a great 1-step product. If you clayed the surface before applying it the finish would be even better. But then we stretch it to a 2-step process.
