  • Almost time for a total detail.

The snow has melted here in Edmonton, Alberta and its almost time for a full detail. I have a few questions though about the products im going to use, and how exactly to use them.

Im doing to use DC1 and DC2. For DC1, is it simply a whipe on whipe off, or must i work it in?

For DC2 am i suppost to "work in" the polish, or just whipe on and whipe off?

And finally, for both how much pressure should i use when using a foam applicator pad?

DC1 will want worked in a little if you want some cleaning ability. Doesnt take much pressure, not going to remove swirls etc with it.

The DC2 is more like a hand lotion, so you want to rub everywhere, but not so much work in.

The working in vs. rubbing around would also affect the pressure, more to clean, less to polish.

DC1 is a cleaner. you can wipe on and wipe off and it will remove minor surface grime, but to get real paint cleaning benefits you need to work it some.

DC2 (like M07) you wipe on VERY THIN, rub it slightly to ensure it has gotten into the paint micropores, then wipe off (do not let it sit and dry, that just makes it hard to remove).
