  • Will Ultimate Compound do it?

My girlfriend backed into a truck in the snow yesterday. There are quite a few scratches/scuffs on the car but luckily no dents! Will Ultimate Compound remove all of the marks by hand? Here are a couple of pics (sorry for quality they were from my phone)

UC should do the job, IMO. You may need to reapply more than once for deeper scratches though.

Work the product in back and forth motion using about 15 to 20 lbs of pressure and when you see the product building up at the top of where you stop rubbing(your throw) go back up and bring the excess product back down and keep working it in (will need to do this process about 3 times before you break the product down) until it becomes somewhat clear. Now wipe off using a slow motion with a micro-fiber and check your progress, you may need to apply 2-3 or sometimes 4 applications.

Becareful on and around the edges or the creases on your body panels as there are less clear and paint on these areas and you can and will rub through them very easily.

You could also try some scratchX, start off with the less aggressive product first even by hand, it's a good habbit to get into!

      Post your process and results.

Also check out this thread, similar to what your asking.

      Hope I've helped!

It should be able to. It will probably take a couple of passes. If working by hand.

Ultimate Compound is a wonderful (under rated) product.

Should do the job there by hand. If not, try a new can of Meg's rubbing compound followed by Ultimate Compound
