  • If Swirl X not available in Canada..whats the next step?

Hi if Swirl X is not available in Canada and you want to de-swirl the whole car (swirls are very minor on the 1 yr old car) with the least aggressive method..then add your lsp. Would you use M205 by hand and buff off with an mf towel? Or would you use #9 or Scratch X (original) then LSP? I think that Meg M09 is the least aggressive of the bunch here.

    Thanks

I suspect that you aren't going to see much de-swirling accomplished by using M09 by hand. Perhaps M205 would be just the ticket, though every paint system is different. I know that M205 by hand doesn't accomplish anything on the re-painted areas of my car. The original factory Honda paint, on the other hand, is a different story. You might even try M105 by hand to see what happens.

One thing I do know: polishing by hand (with any polish), with the hope of removing swirls, is a bear! If SwirlX ain't available, what about Ultimate Compound?
Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.
