  • Scratch X 2.0 + 2009 Acura TSX

    Hi there,

I was reading through the forums and people with 08 Honda are saying that there paint is really soft. I am not sure if this is the same for my grey 09 Acura.

Since I can't buy a lesser aggressive Swirl X in Canada should I use Scratch X 2.0 on my hood? My car has minor swirls/holograms only on the right side of the hood.

Also instead of using a foam applicator to apply can I use Meguiars even coat micro fiber applicator to apply since I think this may make it less aggressive?

    Thx

Sounds like a good plan, though I dont know how easy it would be to really "work in" a product with one of the even coats, at least the old square ones.

Scratchx 2.0 is more aggressive than Swirlx

Check out this link of the order of aggressiveness for several products. http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28407 I suppose you could try scratch x first since it is less aggressive than swirlx. Also somebody correct me if i am wrong but i remember reading on here somewhere that the rank for applicators with the most "bite" is as follows...

        foam applicator (weakest)
        microfiber
        terry towel (strongest)

or another option would be take it to a professional detailer and then maintain the finish afterwards with safe washing techniques

Detailers clean places nobody see. Detailer see's things nobody else see. But if you ask a Detailer to see how a dress looks on a woman, they are blind.
